Prisoners Support Team

Many prisoners are genuinely sorry for their actions and they desperately want to change the attitudes and behaviour that led to prison. C3 Church and the minimum security Prison share a vision of enabling meaningful relationships between prisoners and members of the community. We desire to build positive relationships with inmates and show them that someone we care and value them.

OUR TEAM: We have a team of men who visit the minimum security prison once a quarter to cook a BBQ, build things, and most importantly chat and make connections with inmates. Or in Hobart, once a month on a Wednesday afternoon, we have a team to chat and work alongside a small group of prisoners as they garden and maintain grounds.

WHO: People over the age of 18, and would need to have a police check done and undergo a 1-hour induction. You also need to have been attending our church regularly for about a year.

WHEN & WHERE: Saturdays once a quarter at the Ron Barwick Prison at Risdon OR Wednesday afternoons once a month in Hobart.
