Seeking Group Facilitators for 2025

Small group environments provide opportunities to develop relationships midweek, to have fun, to walk the journey together and to grow in our relationships with Jesus.

Most of our Groups will start late March 2025 and operate through until about October and then there is no expectation to restart any Group the following year.  Short Courses will run about half of that time and then have another intake in the middle of the year.

Any group that was running last year is still welcome to re-start as you wish, just fill out the form below so that we have all the current details.

People will be able to join a Bible Study or Social Group at any time of the year unless it’s full.

A Facilitator is the person who organises the group logistics and gathers everyone together. Easy.

Facilitate a place of connection and spiritual growth through studying the Bible together.

    • Bible Studies meet either weekly or fortnightly (ideally), but monthly is ok also.

    • Groups will officially start at the end of March and will finish October (unless they want to keep going!)

    • They can be held at a house, a cafe or anywhere really! They can also move between locations if that suits the group.

    • When the group meets, they will be reading and studying the Bible, chatting, asking questions of each other, praying and generally getting to know one another.

    • Anyone who calls C3 Hobart home and connects with the C3 values can be a group facilitator.

    • While Bible Study Group Facilitators certainly don’t need to be bible experts, they would ideally have a handle on the themes and overall story of the bible. The group would read parts of the Bible together and use the tools given to dive deeper. The facilitator is encouraged to say “I don’t know” to anything they don’t know, and that’s ok!

    • Facilitators will get regular notes on the preaching series and Bible books. Facilitators are encouraged to involve group members in guiding meetings and discussions.

    • A Facilitator may choose to host the group in their own home, but they don’t have to. The group could meet anywhere or move around different members houses.

    • The Facilitator is the person who organises the logistics, but are encouraged to get each person to take responsibility to participate in any way they can.

    • Ideally a Group will have more than one Facilitator so that the load is shared. Consider asking a friend to Co-Facilitate with you!

    • After the group wraps up in October, you'll be encouraged to stay connected since, hopefully, great friendships have formed!

Facilitate a group of people to connect while participating in a regular activity.

    • Social groups are about bringing people together who enjoy the same sort of activities. For example mountain bike riding, going to the movies, playing board games, walking, craft, gaming, eating, drinking coffee etc).

    • These groups will meet regularly, with once a month being the minimum frequency.

    • There is no expectation to have any spiritual content in these groups, however any prayer, bible study and discussion would be welcomed if there is an opportunity!

    • Anyone who calls C3 Hobart home and connects with the C3 values can be a group facilitator.

    • A facilitator may choose to host the group in their own home, but they don’t have to. The group could meet anywhere depending on what the activity is.

    • Ideally a Group will have more than one Facilitator so that the load is shared. Consider asking a friend to Co-Facilitate with you!

    • After the group wraps up in October, you'll be encouraged to stay connected since, hopefully, great friendships have formed!

Facilitate a life-skills or Bible-based short course with all the material provided.

    • Our Short Courses will start in March (at the same time as the other Groups), with a second intake in the middle of the year (as most of the courses would finish after 5 – 8 sessions)

    • These same courses may run again in the second half of the year (depending on interest), and/or we are open to other courses (eg: parenting, budgeting, breaking addictions to screens etc!)

    • Each short course would run for different time lengths and frequency’s depending on the course and what the Facilitator chooses to do.

    • Courses can be run in homes, public places or even at church (if pre-arranged)

    • Anyone who calls C3 Hobart home and connects with the C3 values can be a group facilitator.

    • The aim is to provide a regular place of connection for people while also teaching them either spiritual or practical life skills.

    • All the material to run the course would be provided to the Facilitator ahead of time and (mostly) there is no prior knowledge of the course needed). Most courses are videos to watch and then discuss as a group.

    • When a course is chosen the Facilitator can then decide whether to run weekly or fortnightly and for how many sessions etc.

    • Ideally a Group will have more than one Facilitator so that the load is shared. Consider asking a friend to Co-Facilitate with you!

    • After running the course once, there is no expectation to run it again, but if you would be willing to go again, that would be great.

    • After the course wraps up, you'll be encouraged to stay connected since, hopefully, great friendships have formed!
