What is it?
Our host teams are an amazing bunch of people who get things ready for people to come and experience church! Every Sunday, this team covers all sorts of things – rearranging the atrium, unlocking doors, turning on heaters, welcoming at the door, serving tea and coffee, talking to new people and more! Basically they will do anything to go the extra mile to show the love of Jesus.
Members of this team can be specialists or generalists... they can have a go at new roles every time, or they can focus on one area that they are comfortable with. And you don’t have to be an extrovert! Just a heart to see people experience the love of Jesus in a safe and welcoming environment – just by being yourself!

Our team is spread out into multiple mini-teams that serve together once every 5-6 weeks alongside their Host Team Leader. This means you would be in a team with the same people each time, which is a great way to get to know others and have fun sharing roles together.

This team arrives about 1hr before the service starts, through to about half an hour after the service finishes to continue connecting with people before they leave. However, the nature of the role means that some people may be needed a little earlier or later. All of this can be figured out with the team leader based on your availability.
